Becoming a delivery partner

Delivery partners self-register with their vehicle type (bicycle, motorcycle, car, van or truck), fleet size, per-delivery fee and service area (city and country). Once registered, toggling availability to "available" makes a partner eligible for dispatch.

Dispatch and assignment

When a business marks an order as preparing, or a buyer/business explicitly assigns a delivery partner, the order's delivery leg is priced at that partner's fee and the partner is notified. Dispatch can pick the nearest available partner geographically, or the buyer/business can choose a specific one from the list.

Tracking a delivery

  1. Assigned — a partner has been matched to the order
  2. Picked up — the partner has collected the order from the business
  3. Delivered — the order has reached the buyer

Buyers, the business and the assigned partner can all see live status. A partner can share their current location so the buyer sees roughly how close the order is.

FAQs

How is a delivery partner paid? Per delivery, at the fee they set — payout releases through the same Paystack payout flow as vendors and businesses once an order is marked delivered.
